She’s who I want to be when I grow up. Beautiful, fun, cool job. Seriously. Amazing
Secretly engaged
I’m engaged but haven’t told that many people yet.
Everything feels special. Like the whole day, banal or beautiful, is sprinkled with magic dust.
Parents
I’m so grateful for my parents. They show up to help me move and bring enough food for me to eat the rest of the week.
Fun things they don’t teach you in sex ed.
Talcum powder has asbestos in it. Has for years. Leave it be
Reblogging to save myself from having to answer more hoohah questions.
In all fairness, when I taught sex Ed, I included a lot of this. The kids were really receptive to learning about it!!
2018
This was a year of great changes in my life, almost all for the better. Considering that 2017 was particularly rough, I am very appreciative.
And now, for the highlights:
Best:
* Movie: I am not much of a movie person, and I didn’t see any that made my Top 10 of All Time. But I did really enjoy “Crazy Rich Asians.”
* Book: “Born a Crime,” Trevor Noah, the audiobook version. This gave me a whole new perspective on him.
* TV series: and this is where it gets harder, since I looooove TV. New (to me) show: “Broad City” was hilarious. Show I had already been watching: “Late Show with Stephen Colbert.” That guy BROUGHT IT this year.
* YouTube series: Screenprism for their delightful insights into TV shows and movies; Registered Nurse RN for saving my butt in classes; and Aja Dang for lifestyle Vlogging.
* Beauty product: MAC “Ruby Woo.” My new love! Also: two-faced gold-dipped palette for the colors, but I’ve since found out I can’t apply eyeshadow in any artistic way.
* Trip: I cant pick, so I pick them all: Joshua Tree, Redwoods National Park, Iceland, Atlanta and the American Southwest. What a year!
* Personal: getting into my dream program. Which then brought a lot of lowlights, but it’s all about the long game!
Thank you, 2018. It was pretty great!
